I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to it, but if you search for that phrase, you'll easily find the program. You may need to install Calibre ebook management software onto a PC or a laptop of some kind. I haven't been able to find a perfect service yet, but I do know what to look out for. I would rather support smaller or independent companies. Plus all the complaints about how their workers are exploited or the tax evasion claims don’t appeal to me. ![]() It’s absurd that some ebooks are more expensive than paper copies, and I doubt that this would go to the authors - do correct me if I’m wrong. Also, with high market share like Kindle comes power like the ability to manipulate price and to my knowledge there was actually a lawsuit about this last year. I wouldn’t like to see the world run by the big bald guy so if I can do my small part in preventing this, I will. I don’t want to support Amazon because it’s already becoming a monopoly in various industries, not just with ebooks. Are there any other ways I can support authors, and get books on my Kindle without purchasing from the Amazon store?Įdit: A lot of people asked, so I’m just gonna explain my reasoning here. Personally, I am an ebook reader and I have always used the Kindle store to get my books but I feel wrong consuming from a harmful corporation. I’m sure most people are no stranger to the controversy surrounding Amazon.
